US consulate don’t influence Pakistan’s politic: US consulate Officials

FAISALABAD July 23 (Online): United Stated (US) Consulate official Mr. Richard T Flips said US consulate do not influence Pakistan’s Politics and this is also decided that America works with all governments in Pakistan.

He said 26,000 Pakistanis are serving in US only from Punjab province to whome we are providing all necessary facilities however provision of new visas is the responsibility of US embassy in Islamabad.

US Consulate official Richard T.Flips was addressing session on visa awareness on Lahore.

He told that tourism, business, education and other type of visas are provided however it gets delay due to inconsistencies in provided information.

He told that US issues visas to Pakistani without any age discrimination.
He said visa application can be processed online and it need no guidances.

On reply to question regarding refusal of business visa to industrialist he replied that they can contact commercial and economic section to apply again for visa however others officers can also review visa application for deserving people.

He said commercial and economic section also review other aspects of applicant rather that eligibility and this can prevent them from longer wait.

Normally Visa section only reviews travel record and business of applicant, he said.
For longer stay in US he said visa can be issued again if they give solid reason.

He said we issue business visa and for this we only check illegibility and there is no discrimination of big and small businessman.
Different US states have different rules and regulations which is one reason of delay and refusal of visa, he added.

He maintained that nothing is kept secret in visa and applicant himself can fill application in his category.

Regarding visa of dual nationalities he said visas are issued on basis of nationality and in this regard we have no relation of region.

President Islamabad Chamber of commerce Dr. Khurram Tariq welcomed Mr. Richard and said huge number of Pakistanis is serving in United States in which large number of doctors is included.

He said in North America Pakistani doctors has strong group.
Lack of contact is another issue in visas issuance which is needed to be removed, he added.
He further thanked to Ch. Mohsin and Mr Waheed for shortening distance and said they can solve their problem in separate meeting with them
