ISLAMABAD 26 Aug (Online): Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) on Friday thanked Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz sharif for lifting the ban on departmental sports.
POA termed the lifting of ban a huge step to restore the sports in country.
PAO secretary general also expressed his disappointment for not inviting coaches, officials’ federations, and other stakeholders.
While expressing the gratitude to PM on lifting the ban he said institutions like Army and WAPDA have played vital role in improving the skills of players.
He said all the stakeholder should have been invited in the event because there is a role of many stakeholders in bringing international medal for the country.
Further he said that the meeting with Prime Minister boosts the morale of all the players and departmental sports will create job opportunities for them.
According to the POA secretary general, federal minister of interprovincial relation is playing positive role for sports and the POA delegation will call on the minister in near future.
