Now is the time for the United Nations to restore its lost credibility by implementing its resolutions on Kashmir. Altaf Ahmed Bhat

Islamabad (PNI ) President Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Bhat has said that India’s occupation of Kashmir is utterly cruel and aggressive which Kashmiris have not accepted even for a moment. The Kashmiri people have been fighting for independence for the last 73 years against the forcible occupation of Kashmir by India.

He expressed these views in his message on the occasion of Black Day.

President J&KSM Alta Ahmed Bhat added that India’s hands are stained with the blood of millions of Kashmiris. Millions of Kashmiris have attained the status of martyrs while fighting against India’s aggressive and cruel occupation. Millions flee their homes, thousands injured and disabled, thousands crushed, All these sacrifices will be made for the freedom and fulfillment of Pakistan. He said that the people of Kashmir are fighting for their birthright, self-determination and integrity of Pakistan.

President JKSM added that Kashmir’s Freedom movement is in line with the UN Charter. The UN had decided and the Indian leadership had promised at the UN that the Kashmiri people would be given the right to self-determination. But It is a pity that seventy-seven years have passed and this promise has not been fulfilled and the Kashmir issue is still unresolved. Now is the time for the United Nations to restore its lost credibility by implementing its resolutions on Kashmir. Kashmiris will continue their struggle for independence at all costs.

Altaf Ahmed Bhat said that, At the moment, much is changing in the context of Israeli-Arab relations in the region and in the Middle East,

But we cannot find a global voice for the protection of the political rights of Muslims. India has become the centre of attention of the West because of its economic interests, it wants to see it in the United Nations, that is why Delhi is being asked to settle its affairs with Islamabad.

He further said the United Nations should also realize its own survival. Since when have Palestine and Kashmir issues been on its agenda?

The OIC is a major organization of Muslim countries. It is the second-largest multinational organization after the United Nations. Because it lacks unity. If the OIC had been stronger and the differences had not affected its unity, the issue of Palestine and Kashmir would have been resolved by now Or the UN body would have changed, he added.

He said that India’s barbarism and brutality continues. Where the blood of millions of Kashmiris has been unjustly shed by the atrocities of India.

Kashmiris have been killed brutally and buried in mass graves,

On August 5, 2019, after the special status of Kashmir was abolished, a storm of brutality was created. Restrictions imposed from day one are not being relaxed. As the number of penitentiaries in the valley dwindled, thousands of Kashmiris were transferred to penitentiaries in India.

President J&KSM Altaf Ahmed Bhat further added that it is not possible to suppress the spirit of Kashmiris for freedom. With the increase in sanctions and oppression, the human tragedy in occupied Kashmir has taken a turn for the worse, Is the international community waiting for the last Kashmiri to fall victim to Indian brutality?
