COLOMBO, Feb 02 (Online): Sri Lankan media has claimed Sri Lanka will obtain loan of 220 million dollars from Pakistan.
As per Sri Lankan media Sri Lanka will purchase Pakistani cement and rice out of this loan. The details of duration of loan and agreement are being worked out.
Pakistan had refuted the media reports of securing loan of 5 billion dollars from China, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The ministry of economic affairs had clarified that it had been said in the media reports economic affairs division has chalked out plan for obtaining loan of 5 billion dollars from China, Russia and Kazakhstan. It is clarified any such proposal is not under consideration of Economic Affairs division which relates to acquiring loan of 2 billion dollars from Russia and Kazakhstan and 3 billion dollars from China.
