Pakistan reports 1,873 new coronavirus cases in one day

Pakistan has reported 58 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 535,914. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 11,318 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,873 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 242,054 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 154,717 in Punjab 65,740 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,892 in Islamabad, 18,754 in Balochistan, 8,855 in Azad Kashmir and 4,902 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 4,608 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,900 in Sindh, 1,848 in KP, 468 in Islamabad, 257 in Azad Kashmir, 193 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.

Pakistan has so far conducted 7,722,829 coronavirus tests and 42,587 in the last 24 hours. 490,126 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,228 patients are in critical condition.
