Pakistan reports 1,745 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours

Pakistan has reported 47 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 528,891. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 11,204 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,745 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Most numbers of casualties have been reported in Punjab.

Till now 239,186 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 152,158 in Punjab, 64,651 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,696 in Balochistan, 40,548 in Islamabad, 8,753 in Azad Kashmir and 4,899 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 4,523 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 3,855 in Sindh, 1,823 in KP, 192 in Balochistan, 461 in Islamabad, 248 in Azad Kashmir and 102 in GB.

Pakistan has so far conducted 7,561,977 coronavirus tests and 35,839 in the last 24 hours. 482,771 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,362 patients are in critical condition.
