New Delhi-February 09 (Online): Muslim student in India Muskaan Khan has become a symbol of bravery and have advised others not to fear from extremists.
Talking to media on Wednesday, she said that her priority is her education. “I am not the one who fears. I was being stopped from wearing Burqa. The principal had allowed me to veil. Some people from outside were there who were against my veil,” she added.
Muskaan Khan said that in today’s incident she just remembered Allah and went straight. “The principal and teachers were supporting me. I am very thankful of people who are supporting me. I will tell to them all that not to fear,” she maintained.
On the other hand, Amid tension and violence at educational institutions and other places, the High Court in Indian state of Karnataka adjourned till Wednesday afternoon, the hearing of petitions questioning the denial of permission to wear hijab to classrooms by Udupi Pre-University College students and others.
The single bench headed by Justice Krishna S. Dixit also requested the student community to maintain peace.
