LAHORE, Dec 17 (INP): The special prosecution team on Friday decided to include Malik Adnan, a colleague of the slain Sri Lankan manager who tried to save his life in Sialkot, among witnessed in Priyantha Kumara lynching case.
Malik Adnan, who tried to save the life of his factory colleague Priyantha Kumara from being lynched, will be made a witness in the Sialkot lynching case. The special prosecution team issued instructions to the investigation officer (IO) for naming Malik Adnan among the witnesses.
Sources said that the challan of the lynching case will be submitted to the prosecution in the first week of January. The challan will contain videos, evidence and important documents, sources added.
It is important to mention here that police will produce 33 more suspects of the Sialkot lynching case before the anti-terrorism court (ATC) today. The number of suspects has reached up to 85 in the case.
Fifty-two suspects are already in the custody of police on remand. Identification of the prime suspects is being made through using technology and videos of the terrifying incident in which Priyantha Kumara was brutally tortured, murdered and later burnt outside a local factory in Sialkot.
Police had registered a case against hundreds of unidentified people after a mob of factory workers lynched their Sri Lankan manager in Sialkot.
The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against 800 to 900 unidentified people at Uggoki police station under sections of terrorism, attempt to murder, plot to murder, desecration of a human body and other sections.
