COAS, British HC discuss Afghan peace

ISLAMABAD – British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

“Matters of mutual interest and overall regional security situation including Afghan Peace Process were discussed during the meeting,” says a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Monday.

Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Monday visited logistic installation/workshop in Rawalpindi. According to Pakistan Army’s media wing, COAS visited various facilities and infrastructures of the workshop handling vast range of specialised transport items for the army.

On the occasion, he was briefed regarding facilities being developed, upgradation mechanism of vehicles and handling of central stores.  

General Qamar Javed Bajwa appreciated the performance and commitment of the workshop in provision of top-class maintenance facilities and services as per standard engineering practices in line with modern and latest standards, the ISPR said. Earlier, on arrival, the COAS was received by Chief of Logistic Staff (CLS) Lieutenant General Azhar Saleh Abbasi.
