RAWALPINDI, July 26 (Online): One police man was martyred and one was injured in alleged police encounter in the area of Doultana Rawalpindi Tuesday.
Dina Police district Jhelum conducted a raid to arrest the accused in double murder case. The accused opened firing on police party during raid resulting into martyrdom of one police man. One police man injured as well. The accused were involved in the case under section 302.
The information have also been received that one accused was also killed during retaliatory firing.
On information DSP Circle Gujar Khan Tahir Kazmi rushed to the scene along with heavy contingent of police .
Police have encircled the area and started search operaton.
The police man who was martyred has been identified as Deeshan AYUB while the injured police man has been identified as Hummayun Mumtaz.
The injured has been shifted to Rawalpindi.
