LAHORE 29 Dec (Online): Lahore police operation wings have completed security arrangements for new-year night, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Dr. Afzaal Kausar told on Thursday.
Elements, which become cause of lacking peace, will spend their night in jail: Afzaal Kausar.
DIG Operations further explained security arrangements and said that Lahore Police will deploy over 6000 officials on the occasion of New-Year Night.
Divisional SPs (superintendent police) will remain in field under the supervision of SSP (senior superintendent police) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf.
Security will remain high alert on entrance and exit barriers of city: Afzaal Kausar.
Full security will be provided to churches on the occasion of prayer ceremonies of New-Year.
Dolphin Squad, PRU, Elite force and official in civil dress will remain on duty, DIG went on, and officials on duty will keep strict checking against drugs including alcohol, arms. Action will be taken indiscriminately against people driving unlicensed vehicles and motorcycles.
Afzaal Kausar also advised citizen to avoid unethical and illegal activities to prove you civilized.
