KARACHI Sep 03 (Online): Officials of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) were also involved in robbery incidents in Karachi.
According to media reports, the involvement of CTD personnel in robbery incidents in Karachi has been revealed. In this regard, three officials have been arrested and a case has been registered against them.
DIG Counter-Terrorism Department Zulfikar Lark says that the three officials claimed Rs 3 crore from a businessman in a fake raid and claimed terror financing and money laundering.
The DIG further said that the affected businessman works as a goldsmith who was going from Karachi to Multan. The three officials involved in the incident, Mazhar, Shoaib and Ahsan, have been recommended to be dismissed from their jobs.
