KARACHI, Sep 08 (Online): A JI councilor has been shot dead in firing by Kunda mafia here in Sarjani town while two others have been injured in violence against them.
The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital. The victim has been identified Habib 60. Injured Adnan Izhar is being provided medical aid.
The incident took place over dispute on collection of money accrued from installation of illegal electricity kundas.
The inmates of area said the Kunda mafia opened firing.
The residents of area had asked JI local leaders to help them in arranging installation of electricity meters in their homes.
We were just talking when Kunda mafia men reached there and started saying they will receive Kunda money. But we refused to give them amount. We asked kunda mafia we want to get electricity connection in legal way and we will not pay you kunda money.
Kunda mafia workers who had come there on motorcycles opened firing resulting into death of councilor Habib after he received bullet in his chest.
