ISLAMABAD, JAN 30 (ONLINE): Important headway has come to fore in Islamabad High Court (IHC) in connection with case of recovery of house maid Shahnaz Bibi who is missing since the last three years.
Islamabad police have arrested Behar Mai , mother allegedly involved in kidnapping case of missing Shahnaz Bibi.
IHC has directed Islamabad police for recovery of the girl and conducting investigation in all respects.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of IHC took up the case for hearing.
Under the court’s orders SP Khalid Awan, DSP legal Sajid Cheema and counsel Aziz Khan Korai on behalf of the petitioner Bihar Mai appeared in the court.
Police requested the court to wrap up the case.
The court rejected police plea for wrapping up 22-A related application.
DSP Legal Sajid Cheema told the court we have arrested petitioner Bihar Mai from a Darul Aman in Multan. Court should direct petitioner Bihar Mai to join investigation.
The court remarked when we gave order then your client filed separate petition for withdrawing the application.
The counsel for the petitioner said we have filed no petition for withdrawing the application.
My client was summoned for investigation and was kept in police station for four hours.
The accused pressurized the police to register case against my client after calling her in police station.
The court while directing to police to complete investigation adjourned the hearing of the case till February 11.
