ISLAMABAD, Aug 09 : Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), emphasized that serving humanity and alleviating the suffering of those in need should be the primary goal of every individual.
He said that in his personal capacity as well as the President ICCI, he is doing his level best to amicably fulfill this obligation, he said this in a meeting with Abdur Razzaq Sajid, Chairman Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust.
The trust is a non-profit international organization, with operations in multiple countries, focusing on providing humanitarian aid, healthcare, education, and social welfare services to underprivileged.
Bakhtawari praised the Trust’s humanitarian efforts, particularly in supporting Palestinian brothers affected by Israeli brutalities.
He assured of the business community’s and ICCI’s full support for the trust’s noble cause.
The meeting explored various opportunities for cooperation between ICCI and Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust.
Ahsan Bakhtawari shared ICCI charity initiatives, including installing water filtration plants in markets across the capital city to benefit traders and residents.
He also highlighted his the in providing computers and lab equipment to educational institutions to promote education as part of his corporate social responsibility.
Abdur Razzaq Sajid briefed Bakhtawari on Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust’s activities, including operating four eye hospitals in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, where over 0.25 million cataract operations have been performed.
The Trust also provides clean drinking water, free ration to needy families, free education to underprivileged children, organizes tree plantation campaigns, and undertakes various other welfare initiatives.
Additionally, the Trust is working in Gaza, running a field hospital in Khan Younis, providing ration to over three lakh victims, and conducting Quran classes with the support of Al-Hashmi Trust., he added.
