ISLAMABAD Oct 01 (Online) Ministry of Energy has arrested 10,000 electricity thieves and recovered 14.3 billion rupees while conducting nationwide action against electricity thieves.
Nationwide crackdown is underway against those who steal electricity, Secretary of the Ministry of Energy.
He further said that during the ongoing operations, ten thousand electricity thieves were arrested across the country, 23,152 FIRs have been registered against electricity thieves across the country, 14.3 billion rupees have been recovered from the electricity thieves.
3.85 billion rupees were recovered in LESCO, 2 thousand 961 people were arrested in LESCO, 2.42 billion 42 billion rupees were recovered in PESCO.
