ISLAMABAD, Mar 09 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting to review investigative matters and the progress of cases in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Monday that DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Security Zeeshan Haider, SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt and officers of the legal team attended the meeting.
He said the meeting reviewed in detail the progress made in the investigation of serious cases and discussed effective strategies to further strengthen the investigation process.
The official said measures regarding follow-up and legal proceedings were also discussed to ensure effective prosecution of cases.
IGP Rizvi directed officers to conduct investigations on professional lines and ensure that all cases are pursued effectively to uphold the rule of law.
He emphasized that strengthening the investigation system was essential to enhance public confidence in the police and the justice system.
