IG Punjab takes notice of killing of three brothers

LAHORE – November 2 (ONLINE) Inspector General Police (IG) Punjab Faisal Shahkar on Wednesday took notice of a terrible incident in which three brothers were brutally shot dead over prolonged enmity in Pakpattan.

According to details, the IG sought report from RPO Sahiwal. Moreover, the province’s police chief ordered formation of a special team to arrest the main suspects and directed DPO Pakpattan to bring culprits to justice.

Pakpattan police’s spokesperson told media on Wednesday that prolong enmity between two local communities was going on and the incident was an outcome of such hostility.

“The victims Arshad, Tanvir and Mumtaz were travelling to Pakpattan this morning when they were attacked at Pull Jamal Kot and they expired,” the spokesman said.

“Local police’s Crime Scene Unit and Forensic teams reached the spot immediately and evidence was collected. Bodies were shifted to the District Head Quarters hospital for postmortem,” he said.
