Peshawar, September 12 (ONLINE): A one-day medical camp was organized by Medical Teaching Institution Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar in Rural Health Center Durmai Swat for the flood victims in which more than 5000 patients were treated by experts of seven different specialties including general medicine, surgery, peads, cardiology, skin, gynecology, and eye.
Hayatabad Medical Complex provided free examination, diagnosis, and medicines to the patients in the camp including 300 ultrasounds, 150 ECGs, 400 sugar, and 500 blood pressure tests. According to Awal Khan, Nursing Director of Hayatabad Medical Complex, the number of patients with skin, diarrhea, gastro, high blood pressure, typhoid, malaria, and gynecology was the highest in the medical camp.
He said that the aim of the camp was to ensure access to medical services for the people in the flood-affected areas who suffered from various diseases during or after the flood situation. The Nursing Director said that a special team of medical experts was called from Peshawar to Swat for the camp who examined patients all the day.
