Court rejects plea for de-sealing Lal Haveli

LAHORE, OCT 11 (ONLINE): Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has rejected the plea for de-sealing Lal Haveli.

The case related to Lal Haveli ownership dispute came up for hearing before a single bench of LHC led by Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf Wednesday.
Sardar Abdul Razzaq advocate appeared in the court on behalf of Sheikh Rashid and his brother Sheikh Siddique.

Asif Khan Deputy Administrator of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and Additional Advocate General (AAG) Siddique Awan appeared in the court.
Counsel for Sheikh Rashid and his brother Sheikh Siddique while raising objection over the decision of ETPB said that all the posts including secretary and DG are held by chairman. We were not heard on the appeal plea filed by us. Powers rest with one man.

The court gave half hour time to AAG in connection with details of powers of chairman ETPB and announced interval in hearing.

On resumption of hearing the court dismissed the plea for de-sealing Lal Haveli. However court admitted Lal Haveli petition for regular hearing.

The court remarked the existing position will remain as it is till the decision of the case.

The court remarked the case will be heard in details on October 19 and no adjournment will be given to anyone.
