Court extends physical remand of Minar-e-Pakistan incident suspects

Lahore – September 9 (Online): A Judicial magistrate’s court on Thursday extended physical remand of six suspects of Greater Iqbal Park incident for two more days.

The suspects had allegedly harassed and molested a female tiktoker on Independence Day at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan.
The court ordered police to present suspects before the court on September 11.

The court also ordered police to share its final investigation report of the incident on same day.

Badami Bagh police station’s police had presented six main suspects as identified by victim before the judicial magistrate of Kachehri district.
The police had demanded for a 14 days physical remand but were only granted with a two days remand.

Several emotions could be seen outside court on Thursday morning when suspect were brought. Suspect Iftikhar could not hold his emotions after seeing his mother and burst into tears, Online reported.
