Appointment of officer on dual posts in CDA: interior secretary others put on notice

ISLAMABAD, Aug 26 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notice to interior secretary, cabinet and establishment, chief commissioner Islamabad and chairman CDA on a petition against appointment of one officer on dual posts of Chief commissioner Islamabad and chairman CDA.

The court has sought reply from them within two weeks.
The court also ordered to fix for hearing the appointment of officers in CDA on deputation.
The petition was filed by Hanif Rahi advocate.
The case came up for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by Justice Miangul hassan Aurangzeb.

The counsel for the petitioner told the court appointing grade -20 officer Muhammad Usman on two posts is against law.

Hanif Rahi advocate told the court two most important posts of Islamabad are part time job.
The court inquired was the officer given acting position on one post.

Hanif Rahi advocate told the court both the posts were given to grade-20 officer Muhammad on regular basis.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks
