LAHORE, Jul 27 (APP):At least ten people were killed and 1334 injured in 1247 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 575 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 759 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by rescue medical teams, thus reducing the burden of hospitals.
Furthermore, the analysis showed those 705 drivers, 36 underage drivers, 165 pedestrians, and 474 passengers were among the victims of the crashes. The statistics show that 261 accidents were reported in Lahore which affected 275 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by Faisalabad 95 in with 101 victims and at third Multan with 83 accidents and 86 victims.
According to the data 1130 motorbikes, 76 rickshaws, 101 cars, 11 vans, 7 buses, 29 truck and 103 other types of vehicles and carts were involved in the road accidents.
