Lahore, Aug 18 (Online): Wife of Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has demanded B-Class Facilities and transter of Imran Khan to Adiala Jail Rawalpindi in a letter written to Home Secretary Punujab on Friday.
She said that her husband was arrested by the police prior to the arrival of warrant of arrest from the learned court of competent jurisdiction whereby it had been directed to keep the husband of petitioner in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
However, he was taken to Attock jail without any lawful justification and still confined there. She said that as directed by the learned court of law my husband is liable to be sent to Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
Bushra Bibi further said that her husband remained the Captain of National Cricket Team of Pakistan and he was distinguished alumnus of Oxford University in the United Kingdom and having served as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Imran Khan’s wife said that the lawfully allowed class and facilities due to the designations held by the Imran Khan were not available in the Attock Jail and it is sheer violation of the basic fundamental rights and most importantly it was against the Jail Rules to keep the person of this stature at a place which lacks even the very basic amenities.
She also said that the life of the ex-Prime Minister is in danger, he was previously attacked twice. Moreover it is apprehended that he may be poisoned in the jail through food as the ones responsible and preparators of previous attacks are still at large and have not been captured by the law enforcements agencies. Bushra bibi also demanded to allowed to have home food for Imran Khan.
