Zulfi Bukhari does not see signs of neutrality

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) central leader Zulfi Bukhari believes that the arrest of Fawad Ch is a message to Imran Khan not from the government but from the establishment.

In an exclusive interview with VOA, he said that Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest is a message to Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

He says this series of messages has been going on for the past nine months. However, according to him, this has not made a difference but has increased PTI’s popularity.

Zulfi Bukhari hoped that the new Army Chief General Asim Munir would change the course adopted with regard to PTI.

He says that establishment on the power of institutions and Imran Khan based on popularity are huge realities and it is in the best interest of the country that both recognize each other.

He says that the establishment should not be neutral but should use its power to hold early elections.

The establishment in Pakistan has never been neutral. According to him, even in the current situation, they should not be neutral, he added.

PTI leader says that the current government cannot survive without the support of the establishment and the establishment should use its power for holding early general elections.

Zulfi Bukhari says that there is no way of stability in the country except general elections in the current situation.

He said that there has been some internal healing between the PTI and the US and despite Imran Khan’s statements of US intervention, PTI’s relations with Washington can improve again.
