ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (Online): Written order in connection with January 8 hearing of the petition filed by former judge Mazahar Ali Naqvi against the proceedings of Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has been issued.
It has been said in Supreme Court (SC) order the plea for stopping SJC proceedings at this stage is not acceptable. The court heard arguments only on the point of making the complainants respondents. No order can be issued against any one without hearing stance.
It has been said in the order Justice Naqvi has requested in his petition to declare the complaints as based on malafide intent. The complaints cannot be declared as based on ill intent without hearing other respondent.
The order said objection was raised on constitution of bench during previous hering which was withdrawn today (Wednesday).
The SC also said in its order the petition be fixed for hearing after it is filed again with necessary amendments.
