Written order for recovery of poet Ahmad Farhad and his appearance in the court issued

ISLAMABAD, June 03 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued written order in respect of recovery of Kashmiri poet Ahmad Farhad case. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has issued written order. It has been said in the order that it was told by the counsel of the petitioner Ahmad Farhad has not reached home so far.

According to counsel Ahmad Farhad is on physical remand in connection with a case registered in police station Sadar Muzaffarabad. The meeting of family members with Ahmad Farhad has taken place. It was said in the order that the counsel told Ahmad Farhad health condition is not good. According to Additional Attorney General (AAG), Prosecutor General Ahmad Farhad is on physical remand for two days. The petition has become ineffective being Ahmad Farhad on physical remand.

It has been said in the order that request was made for investigation of kidnappers and action against them. According to law officer this plea now remains no more effective following recovery of Ahmad Farhad. However court does not agree with stance of additional attorney general till the appearance of Ahmad Farhad in IHC.

According to counsel for petitioner the bail after arrest plea of Ahmad Farhad has been filed. As per order the counsel told that there is possibility of releasing Ahmad Farhad on bail within few days. Keeping in view these all things hearing of the case is adjourned till June 07.
