‘Wonder how much opposition parties trust each other’ says interior minister

ISLAMABAD – February 27 (ONLINE): Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said Sunday opposition’s plans to bring a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will fail.

Interior Minister, while talking to media men on Sunday said that he wondered how much opposition parties trust each other. Government will not create hurdles for PPP’s long march, he said, adding that everyone had right to protest in democratic society.

“I have consulted Punjab Chief Minister and it has been decided that government will provide full assistance and security for their long march” the minister said.

Criticizing opposition parties, Rashid said that those opposition leaders who did not wish to even see each other were joining hands against Prime Minister Imran Khan. “They will not be stopped, but they are definitely causing trouble for people” he added.

Talking about much talked motion for no confidence against government, he said there is a deadlock in opposition parties over no-confidence motion. “Opposition parties are only interested to protect their own vested agendas”.

The Minister said political parties trying to create chaos in the country will have to face defeat eventually. Government will not create hurdles for participants of long march.

Responding to a question, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said investigation in Noor Muqaddam case was unprecedented and Islamabad Police deserves appreciation.
