Week long Turkish food festival starts

ISLAMABAD, NOV 03 (Online): A week long Turkish food festival has started in a private hotel.

Turkish ambassador in Islamabad-Mehmet Papacy and head of private hotel Aziz Boolani jointly inaugurated the festival. Air Vice Marshal Zahid Mehmood also graced the occasion.

The traditional and modern dishes cooked by the renowned Turkish chefs were presented in the festival.

The inauguration ceremony of the festival was attended by a large number of diplomatic and business personalities and citizens.

A wide diversity of dishes cooked by the leading Turkish chef will be available for citizens in the festival. Turkish traditional and modern dishes including Turkish soup, sea foods, sweets and special dishes have been presented.

Turkish ambassador said on the occasion that we are starting Turkish dishes week. This activity is part of our activities related to our national day. We are celebrating completion of 99 years of independence of democratic Turkey. This day has also relevance with completion of 75 years of Pakistan-Turkey diplomatic ties. We have amassed all the delights and decided to celebrate them in the form of exhibition of Turkish foods.

Pakistan is passing through a mammoth disaster. Keeping in view this situation we organized a dinner for fund raising. We will help Pakistani brethren through this fund rising.

The Turkish artists also displayed their art work. Their music made Pakistani audience spell bound and they lauded the Turkish music from the chore of their heart.

One Pakistani participant of Turkish food festival said the Turkish dish was very savory adding “ I invite every one to come here and relish the dishes to heart content.
