ISLAMABAD Aug 13 (Online): Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari said on the occasion of Independence Day, it should be pledged that the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah will ensure the rule of the people.
In his message on the occasion of Independence Day, former President Asif Ali Zardari said that today the leadership and workers of Pakistan People’s Party renew their pledge to make Pakistan a democratic and welfare state according to the ideology of the Quaid-e-Azam, for which Ms. Benazir Bhutto was martyred after his long struggle.
Asif Ali Zardari said that Quaid-i-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed had fulfilled the dream of Quaid-e-Azam in the form of 1973 Constitution.
He said that dictatorship is actually a terror and no society can develop under dictatorship.
The former president said that Pakistan People’s Party Ms. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was struggling for a society where humanity is valued without fear and terror. Pakistan should be a society where there is peace and an atmosphere of patience and tolerance, and the youth should have the freedom to develop and move forward according to their potential.
Asif Ali Zardari said that our war against the darkness of poverty and ignorance is still going on. Pakistan can develop when the people are economically stable. “There will be justice from the workers.” By acting sincerely, we can join the developed countries of the world.
The former president said that pledging loyalty to the constitution means acknowledging the supremacy of parliament because parliament is the authentic court of the people.
