Islamabad OCTOBER 23 (Online): Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said that Pakistan will continue to play its role for development, peace and stability.
He expressed his views while addressing the opening ceremony of ASEAN Corner at the institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad.
He said that establishment of ASEAN Corner is another step in enhancing the relations between ASEAN countries and Pakistan. Pakistan has very good relations with ASEAN countries.
Pakistan’s relations with ASEAN countries improved further during Corona epidemic.
He said that we are further strengthening relations with ASEAN countries by looking at cyber and strategic security.
Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an excellent example of regional relations.
He said that we also want to expand our regional relations with ASEAN countries.
He said that ASEAN countries also suffer from Indian bias and so does Pakistan.
We will launch a bilateral calendar to enhance our events and relations with ASEAN countries.
He said that our geographical boundaries increase our importance but climate changes are also affecting us.
He said that peace and security is fundamental component for any country.
He said that Pakistan believes in ensuring the implementation of UN charter of Human Rights.
