ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (Online): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said important developments have taken place following the extra ordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Islamabad.
“We welcome the two important developments which have occurred in support of the Afghan people”, he said this in a statement issued here Thursday.
He indicated that UN Security Council (UNSC) adopted resolution on Afghanistan. As per resolution aid will be provided to Afghanistan to meet the basic necessities of the people.
On the other hand the US restrictions on business with Taliban have been eased, he added.
He went on to say exemption was given to US and UN officials to do business with Taliban, The US steps will ease the supply of aid to Afghanistan.
