Violent demonstrations against arrest of PTI founder: Court adjourns hearing of Sheikh Rashid bail plea till Feb 6

RAWALPINDI, February 03 (Online): Judge Malik Ijaz Asif of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No 1 Rawalpindi has adjourned the hearing of Sheikh Rashid bail plea till February 6 without proceedings in a case registered against him in police station New Town under the charges of damage to state properties, attacks on police , siege and arson and violent demonstrations against arrest of PTI founder.

The hearing has been adjourned till February 6.

The hearing of bail plea of Sheikh Rashid will take place in Adiala Jail.

Sardar Shehbaz Khan counsel for Sheikh Rashid appeared in the court.

Prosecution raised objections on the bail application of Sheikh Rashid, former decisions, court’s orders and copies of former orders of high court were not attached.

Upon it the hearing of the case was adjourned till February 6.

It is pertinent to mention here Police had arrested Sheikh Rashid on February 16 from court room in case registered against him with reference to May 9 incidents following the dismissal of his interim bail.

New Town police had registered case against him on May 10 on the report of sub inspector Tariq Javed..
The charges said that the role of Sheikh Rashid remained very uncivilized with reference to law and order situation on the occasion of May 9 incident.
