Islamabad February 03 (Online): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said an effective and vibrant local government system guarantees national development.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad regarding upcoming local government elections in Punjab, Imran Khan said most of people’s problems can be resolved on their doorstep through an efficient local government system.
The Prime Minister said the objective of a local bodies system is to devolve powers at grassroots level; and for its success, every segment of the society particularly women, youth, farmers and traders must have equal representation in it.
