Vawda blasts Nawaz Sharif for begging visa extension from UK

ISLAMABAD, Jan 3 (APP):Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Senator Faisal Vawda on Monday strongly criticized former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is begging visa extension from United Kingdom.

The UK has rejected the application of Nawaz Sharif and it is politically damaging situation for entire PML-N party, he said this while talking to a private television channel.

Nawaz Sharif should return Pakistan and face the corruption cases, he said. Nawaz Sharif was not a popular leader of this country because the people had rejected him due to corruption and money laundering charges, he added. Sharif family and former finance minister Ishaq Dar were absconder of the court cases, he said adding that they didn’t have vote bank in this country.

Commenting on inflation issue, he said PTI government has launched various welfare schemes including Ehsaas program, Kamyab Jawan program, Langar Khana system (free food outlets), for poor people, and housing scheme for low income group besides introducing health and Rashan cards, to alleviate poverty.

In reply to a question about PTI candidate’s set back in local bodies elections, he said Opposition parties should feel pleasure that elections were conducted in a free and transparent manner. He said the PML-N had an old practice to malign national institutions. He further stated that PML-N had been working against electronic and print media for vested interest.
