Vandalism on canal road: ATC extends interim bail of PTI leaders

LAHORE, APRIL 27 (ONLINE): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended interim bail till May 6 in respect of PTI leaders including Asad Umar, Yasmin Rashid others in vandalism on canal road and violence against Police men case.

Case came up for hearing before ATC led by Judge Amber Gul Khan Thursday.

PTI leaders Asad Umar, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Farrukh Habib and Musarrat Jamshid Cheema appeared in the court and got completed their attendance.

JIT head Aftab Phularwan also appeared in the court.

The court inquired what progress in the investigation is.

Aftab Phularwan, head of JIT told the court Musarrat Jamshed Cheema and Farrukh Habib have not joined the investigation so far.

The counsel for Musarrat Jamshed Cheema replied we have challenged JIT.

ATC judge remarked if JIT is abolished too even then statement has to be recorded.

The court while extending the interim bail pleas of Asad Umar, Farrukh Habib and others till May 6 remarked we will decide after hearing the case.

The court directed Musarrat Cheema and Farrukh Habib to join investigation.
