LAHORE, May 13th (Online): The caretaker government of Punjab has decided to form a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for investigation into vandalism and arson attack (Jalao Gherao) in military and civil facilities including Jinnah House.
A review meeting was held on law and order situation at head office of Safe Cities Authorities under care taker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Provincial Information Minister Aamir Mir, Chief Secretary, Inspector General Police, Additional Chief Secretary, Additional Interior Chief Secretary, Additional IG special branch, CCPO Lahore, Additional IGC CTD, Secretary Law, Secretary Public Prosecution, MD Punjab Safe Cities Authorities, Commissioner Lahore Division, Deputy Commissioner and concerned officials have participated in the meeting.
In the meeting it was also ordered to speed up actions to bring all miscreants under the scanner of law.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said, geo-fencing will be done in all areas of vandalism.
All cases against miscreants will be presented in Anti-terrorism Court.
No criminal will be spared and no innocent will be arrested.
Every criminal will be brought to justice.
He has said, elements who attack military and civilian properties including Jinnah house will not escape from severe punishment.
Zero-Tolerance policy has been adopted against miscreants.
Mohsin Naqvi has said, educational institutions will be opened from 15th of May.
The situation is improving.
We will ensure the safety of lives and property of people.
He has said, the concerned institutions should continue to coordinate well to maintain the law and order situation.
Entire force is on alert to defeat evil intentions of miscreants.
