ISLAMABAD, January 15 (Online): During the hearing of Toshakhana luxury vehicles and gifts case against former premiers Nawaz Sharif, Yousuf Raza Gillani and former president Asif Ali Zardari, Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has directed NAB to file report in respect of Nawaz Sharif within a week.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till January 24.
Tosha khana luxury vehicles case came up for hearing before AC Islamabad led by judge Muhammad Bashir Monday.
NAB prosecutor and defence counsels appeared in the court.
NAB’s inquiry report in respect of Nawaz Sharif could not be presented in AC on Monday as well.
The court directed NAB to submit inquiry report in respect of Nawaz Sharif within a week.
Raja Faisal Younis counsel for Yousuf Raza Gillani filed exemption from attendance pleas in respect of former president Asif Ali Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gillani in the court.
The court while accepting exemption pleas of Asif Ali Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gillani adjourned the hearing of the case till January 24.
During the previous hearing of the case the AC had adjourned the hearing of Toshakhana luxury vehicles and precious gifts reference against former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif, Yousuf Raza Gillani, former president Asif Ali Zardari and other accused persons .
The hearing was adjourned due to non availability of judge Muhammad Bashir.
Rana Irfan pleader appeared in the court on behalf of Nawaz Sharif while exemption plea was filed in respect of Asif Ali Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gillani.
NAB prosecutor Sohail Arif had appeared in the court. However supplementary reference could not be filed by NAB in the court.
Nawaz Sharif had joined investigation into precious vehicles and gifts reference.
