Toshakhana, Al-Qadir trust references: IHC sends the file to chief justice for constitution of division bench

ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while hearing the petitions of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in Toshakhana and Al-Qadir trust references has sent the file to Chief Justice (CJ) for constitution of division bench.
PTI founder while challenging jail trial in Toshakhana and Al-Qadir NAB cases has filed petition in IHC.

A single bench of IHC led by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb took up the petitions for hearing Wednesday.
Latif Khosa and Shoaib Shaheen appeared in the court on behalf of PTI founder Imran Khan,

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked ” it seems as if this case has come in this court mistakenly because it is division bench case. NAB itself is a party in this case. If there had been some employee then this case could have been related to this court.

Latif Khosa counsel for Imran Khan said it is quality of judge Muhammad Bashir that cases of all were fixed in his court.
On this remark from Latif Khosa, the court stopped counsel for Imran Khan from talking about judge Muhammad Bashir.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked don’t talk about judge Muhammad Bashir. He has been appointed repeatedly on my recommendations. We send the file to chief justice in connection with its re-fixation.

The court sent the file to chief justice for constitution of division bench on the appeal pleas of PTI founder Imran Khan against jail trial.
