TI report testifies Imran Khan has broken 10 years record of corruption: Shahbaz Sharif

LAHORE, JAN 26 (Online): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said Imran Khan has broken 10 years record of corruption and Transparency International (TI) report testifies to it.

“TI report bears evidence only corruption was committed in new Pakistan of Imran Khan.

In a statement, the PML-N leader said we should take the TI report seriously as it clearly shows that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has only committed corruption during its tenure.
PM Imran Khan not only proved dangerous for people but he proved the most fatal for them, he remarked.

We will have to mull over TI report that one incompetent and corrupt person proves how much fatal for the nation, he said adding this TI report is declaration of collapse of system. It is evidence that only corruption was committed in New Pakistan of Imran Khan.

This report is inviting us to introduce reforms at national level, he underscored. The problem will not be resolved if it is concealed. We will have to look into our own weaknesses and resort to self accountability instead of refuting the report, he stressed.

He pointed out that Pakistan slipped by 16 points on the international Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) and stood at 140th position in comparison to 124th position in 2020

Shehbaz Sharif further advised Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and his ministers to better overcome corruption instead of hiding it.

He observed that Imran Khan is still worried about saving his false image instead of the country.
