ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (Online): Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said today a thief has been arrested who was escaping since the last 15 months.
“Imran Khan did not want to give reply to the allegations leveled against him. The court announced the decision after all legal requirements were fulfilled. Imran Khan arrest is not politically motivated nor has it any relevance with election. Linking the arrest of Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan with each other is not correct. Imran Khan incited attacks on state institutions to avert arrest. The investigation of crimes against Imran Khan was continuing since one year. Whenever reply was sought, pretexts were made and dilatory tactics were used. Nawaz Sharif presented himself for accountability and emerged innocent. There are not only watches in Toshakhana case but there are also other things more than that.No final decision has been made in Council of Common Interest. Speculations should be avoided; she said this while addressing a press conference here Saturday.
She went on to say whenever a reply was sought from Imran Khan he attacked courts and police.
In this case 40 hearings were held and Imran Khan appeared only 3 times before case, she pointed out.
Detailed decision of session’s court has come wherein it is clearly said Imran Khan was given full opportunity to file reply. When Toshakhana gift was received by him, he sold it out before purchasing it as per law, she observed. He deposited its price after selling it and he did not declare it.
Whenever any question is made to Imran Khan about any case he shows ignorance about it.
Today no one was standing outside Zaman Park when he was arrested; she said adding no one stands with thief.
