Supreme Court takes takes suo motu notice of possible delay in election process in Provincial Assemblies

Islamabad, Feb 22 (Online): Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Umar Atta Bandial, taking notice of the possible delay in the election process within 90 days in the dissolved provincial assemblies, has scheduled a hearing on Thursday at 2 o’clock.

A nine-member larger bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan will hear the matter.

The bench comprises Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Atta Bandial, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minallah.
