Supreme Court rejects bail plea of accused for devouring salary of poor citizen

ISLAMABAD, SEP 25 (ONLINE): Supreme Court (SC) has rejected the bail plea of the accused persons for devouring salary of poor citizen.

Two employees of education department had filed bail petition in the case registered in anti corruption Punjab.

The bail of the accused Abdul Rehman was rejected being not persuaded. The bail plea of the accused Ibrar has been dismissed after lawyers arguments.

The case came up for hearing before two members bench of SC comprising Justice Tariq Masood and Justice Musarrat Hilali.

Justice Musarrat Hilali remarked during the hearing of the case with regret this is condition of education department Punjab.
Justice Tariq Masood remarked on one hand injustice was done with the poor man and on the other hand his salary was devoured. More money was also obtained from him.

The court was told that as per FIR the accused transferred the salary of poor citizen to their account for one year.

The state counsel told the accused Ibrar got the poor citizen employed as chowkidar in government school. The accused Ibrar kept on transferring the salary of poor citizen to his account for one year. When asked by the citizen about payment of his salary he said still your account has to be got opened. He also demanded more Rs 70000 from the citizen. Chowkidar paid more one lac rupees to the citizen by selling his wife jewelry.

New principal of school got the matter investigated. The investigation revealed that salary kept on going into the accounts of the accused Ibrar.

Anti corruption Punjab has registered case of fraud against the accused persons.

The court rejected the plea of the accused later.
