Islamabad, Oct 11 (Online): In the wake of connivance of employees of electricity distribution companies in electricity theft, the Ministry of Energy has decided to tighten the rope around the employees on Wednesday.
Sources said that the Ministry of Energy has directed Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to initiate action against the employees involved in power theft.
It was said that FIA should form a special team headed by the Deputy Director, and this team of FIA should provide assistance to the discos in operations against electricity theft.
Three discos were pointed out for operation against the staff involved in electricity theft, HESCO, PESCO and SEPCO.
