ISLAMABAD, FEB 08 (ONLINE): Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has responded to PTI’s rejection of a negotiation offer. Speaking exclusively to Online, he clarified that he had never extended a formal invitation for talks.
“I only clarified my position as Speaker and stated that my doors are open to everyone. A formal negotiation invitation will only be extended if the government or opposition requests it—I did not initiate any invitation on my own,” he stated.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq further emphasized that his role as Speaker is to remain neutral and accessible. “My chamber and residence are open to all members, and I treat every member with respect. If both the government and opposition agree to resume talks and request my facilitation, only then will I extend an official invitation,” he added.
