Siraj suggests a national dialogue

ISLAMABAD – November 7 (ONLINE) Jamat-e-Islami Chief Siraj ul Haq on Monday said a national political dialogue was necessary to deliberate issues like civil supremacy, apolitical character of army and electoral reforms.
Addressing an event titled ‘deadly floods and the rehabilitation’ here, the JI Chief said his party believes in Civil Supremacy, and Martial-laws were imposed on country due to ‘hostile’ environment created by politicos’. “More than 30 million people were affected by deadly floods, but ruling parties don’t give a damn about them,” he said.

“We saw during COVID-19 times that people were dying and multinational companies were minting money,” he said.
Siraj said the world population was never short of resources but the grim problem was the unjust supply of those resources. “80 million people are dying of hunger, and on the other hand, many countries waste 30 to 40 percent of their food resources,” he regretted.

Siraj ul Haq said nations learn during calamities and chaos. “Unluckily, it doesn’t happen here in Pakistan,” he said. He said that “lack of coordination amongst different government institutions lead to such devastation” during recent floods.
