Islamabad December 19 (Online): Former leader of PML-N Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he will not contest elections.
Hearing of LNG Reference filed against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was held in Accountability Court, Islamabad.
Judge Muhammad Bashir of Accountability Court heard the case.
Lawyer of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Yasir Awan appeared in the court and told that Intra Court appeal is underway and hearing should be adjourned till this decision.
Court has adjourned the hearing of the case till 13 February, 2024.
While talking to media outside Judicial Complex, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he will not contest elections.
He said that it has been 4 years to this case and 5th year has started.
A case was made before and it ended and it will also be ended.
He said that a witness has come in 4 years. Country will not run under this system.
He further said that former judge of Supreme Court Javed Iqbal did not know that this case was frivolous.
When they are acquitted, it will be said that justice has been done, who will account for this injustice?
