ISLAMABAD, Nov 09 (Online): Leader of the opposition in National Assembly (NA) Mian Shahbaz Sharif has become more active to give tough time to the government and he has stepped up his contacts with opposition leadership and members of parliament.
According to sources during his contact with opposition parliamentarians it has been decided that opposition by dint of its majority will not allow government plan to legislate and on the other hand such attempt will be disrupted through immense protest and hue and cry. The government moves for legislation will be stopped in and outside the parliament with forceful strategy.
Sources said that opposition has set up two committees to fight legal war to stop legislation. The both of the committees will hold meetings in succession.
Opposition leader has made the committees functional. First committee will be called protest committee. It will see the matters of attendance of legislators in parliament evolve strategy of protest and point out lack of quorum.
The committee comprising legal experts will review critically the government bills and work out strategy to challenge them in the courts.
This committee will review electoral reforms, right of vote to overseas Pakistanis,NAB amendment bill and other bills.
