Shahbaz Sharif demands of election commission to make public 8 volumes of foreign funding case

ISLAMABAD, Jan 11 (Online): Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif has demanded of Election Commission (EC) to make the 8 volumes public which were seized in foreign funding case.

“8 volumes contain details of all secret bank accounts and foreign funding. Keeping the 8 volumes secret is offence as per law. All record and details of bank accounts and foreign funding be made public”, he said this in a statement issued here Tuesday.

He went on to say that investigation into foreign funding meant all the record was to be brought fore rather than hiding it. EC should not give in to any pressure or care for any request and threat for hiding the record. These facts are trust of the people. Hiding foreign funding case volumes is an open evidence of the offence of Imran Khan.

He held what record in respect of accounts of PTI has been found by State bank has been exposed. The details of 6 recognized foreign bank accounts of PTI including US, UK, Australia, Finland be made public. 8 volumes, 28 bank accounts and respective documents cannot be concealed. Who is concealing them is criminal in the eyes of the law.

He remarked bids are being made since the last 7 years to hide this record. But now the truth cannot be further concealed. Imran Khan has concealed the facts from election commission and nation for 7 years.

Making public the all the details of the foreign funding case is legal and constitutional responsibility of election commission, he underlined.

He observed that who is demanding for holding accountable 3 generations of others wants to conceal details of 8 volumes of his robbery.
