Shahbaz says February 27 an ‘unforgettable day’

ISLAMABAD – February 27 (ONLINE): Opposition leader in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday while remembering ‘Operation Swift Resort’ said that February 27 marks an ‘unforgettable, proud’ day in nation’s history.

“Three years ago on this day, Pakistan gave a message to the whole world that anyone who attacks our sovereignty will be broken apart” Shahbaz said, in a statement on Sunday.

Shahbaz Sharif said that India’s aggression three years ago had put South Asia’s peace at stake. “Appropriate, timely response from Pakistan however proved that we are a responsible, peaceful nation” he added.

Opposition leader said that Pakistan, by giving a swift and prompt response, showed to the world that not only it was a responsible and an independent state but was also fully capable of defending itself against all kinds of aggression, said PML-N president in the message, and added on this day the nation saluted its brave Pakistan Airforce (PAF) fighter pilots who foiled the enemy country’s plans.
